Tranny question.
Tranny question.
I've never had a car do this, then again. I've never actually owned a 6MT. But, when I have the radio off, and I listen to the engine and tranny. I can actually hear when the gears engage when ever I change. Even, when Im' parked and the car is off, I go through the gears to listen if it makes the same noise, and it does. Is that normal? or am I just being paranoid since I bought it used, and I still don't exactly know what's been done to it and what hasn't been serviced yet.

Yep, I took my car to the dealer and they told me it's normal.
I don't think i've ever owned a RWD vehicle that I couldn't hear the gears engaging in when you shift. With RWD, you hear and feel the shifting more because the shift goes directly into the gearbox which is right below the cabin.... whereas in a front wheel drive car, the gearbox is up towards the front of the vehicle in the engine bay.
