can we please just stop with the bitching about gas. Between gas bitching and people turning in to hippie enviro-nuts these days... I am close to snapping.

We hear that alot and it gets old. I think the guy who started this thread just wanted to set the record straight...Does AC use more gas than windows rolled down or vice-versa?

No one is too good to save gas either. ^^^^

+1, this is a forum. I can't stand when some people only click on a thread to flame

Sometimes I drive with the A/C on and the windows and sunroof open

Sometimes I like to feel the wind and/or listen to the exhaust, but it's too cold/hot outside to actually have the windows down

(And even if it's cold outside, I leave the A/C on with the temp turned up, cuz otherwise it gets really humid in the car)

Your A/C does not affect your gas mileage what so ever.. there have been numerous tests done on this subject. As stated above Mythbusters just had a show with this subject and once again the same test results came back.

It does affect it but by very little.

The A/C does however, KILL your performance... The car will be very sluggish.

Doesn't the A/C automatically disengage on WOT? That's what happens on my other cars.
