Ok so heres the story. After getting my car from the dealer, it came with this ugly yellow pinstripe on the side. They said it was vinyl, behlold its paint. So i asked a body shop guy about it and he said for 500$ he can take it off, polish the car and get rid of waves and swirl marks and make it look brand new.

Now, for me 500$ is alot of money and i REALLY hate the pinstripe. So, would you do it?

i would get another estimate but would dish out the bux to get it done. what color is your car, anyway? regardless, a yellow pinstripe, ANY pinstripe on the Gs would look nasty imo

500 for pinstripe removal and a SICK detail is worth it. We have a place called Detail doctor by my house they charged 400 for my moms LS430 when we got it from ebay. It came detailed but the guy was a smoker, they did the whole car start to finish, it looked like it just rolled off the show room floor.

Who the hell pin-striped it in the first place?

1. Yes, you should have it removed and polished out.

2. In the world of owning an Infiniti, $500 isn't a lot of money.

Yea so the detail guy said that there are tons of "waves" from bad compounding/buff jobs, which looks terrible in the sun. I may just do the whole thing just to make my G totally reconditioned.

Also, I just put in my clear corners... this stripe has to go lol.

Few Opinions....all the same!
Dark colors like OB and TB are difficult to maintain anyway, let the detail
guy give you a head start....get rid of the pinstripe. Some dealerships think
it cool to add that kinda B.S. to there cars....Zero Taste!
