Temperature Display

Is it possible switch to Celsius in the temperature display (ambient and cabin)? I have the dual zone climate control.

Re: Temperature Display

No-one has figured this out yet. It's possible, because the US bound G's read in 'F' and the Canada bound in 'C'.
If anyone knows about this, please post.

Re: Temperature Display

I looked in the Coupe ESM, and it lists a diagnostic mode for the display. I'll bet the answer is in there somewhere.....

Part one of Diagnostic:

<font color=red>GSM</font color=red>
<font color=black>Silverstone Coupe</font color=black>

Re: Temperature Display

Hmmm, it looks like if you ground pin 14 in connector M31, that would do it. Am I reading this correctly?

Re: Temperature Display

I am guessing there is no way to change it to Celsius because if there was when you did the diagnostics and when all the LEDS lit up on the display, you would see a C next to the F, not just the F. This indicates to me there is no celsius, and if it did read in C it would be weird reading 0F degrees when it was actually 32F

Re: Temperature Display

There must be a way of changing the display-- in the ESM there is a lot of discussion of 'US' models and 'Canada' models, but nothing (that I can find) that refers to the actual changing of the dispaly. I suspect the choice is made in the BCM perhaps using the Consult II tool.
Anyway, here's a section further into that chapter in the ESM showing 2 separate display choices:

<font color=red>GSM</font color=red>
<font color=red>GSM</font color=red>
<font color=black>Silverstone Coupe</font color=black>

Re: Temperature Display

Hey gsedanman,

Try looking at the picture of the wiring diagram for the air conditioner. In my ESM, it is on page ATC-47. It's labeled ATC-A/C-03. On the left hand side of the diagram, it shows "C/F", and lists the wire as only for Canadian models. And then in the "Terminals and reference value for display and A/C auto amp" section, it lists pin 14 as the "changeover C/F (for Canada)".

I'm having trouble posting pics, hope this helps,
Dave
