quite by accident.........
I was cleaning the rear seats and noticed a small red pc of material just barely sticking out between the top and bottom portions of my rear seat directly in the center of the seats.....
I managed to reach in and pull it out........low an behold it had a loop.....gave it a tug and bam.....my rear seat released....

Never knew it was there....don't recollect seeing it in my manual either....maybe its just me....but for all who didn't know...check out your cars...makes it easier than having to open the trunk and pull the release from there all the time......

holy $hit dude, this might be the absolute best find i have ever seen posted.....i too, never saw that anywhere in the manual and always thought access was only through the trunk.

Excellent info. Mine was buried inbetween the leather....i would have never found that on my own.

It is in the manual, 3-13 "Pre-driving checks and adjustments". I had it out within the first week of buying the car.

I didn't know about it until I read a review recently, after owning the car for 8 months. Handy little sucker.

 

never use the backseat...hmm...my vote shud go in the most useless accessory thread. =)
