Re: 6MT

For the fist week. But, after I learned how to drive a manual, I have never looked back. I swore to myself that I will never own a automatic car again.

Re: 6MT

when i first got in the car i wasn't the best stick driver out there. my driving wasn't the smoothest and i stalled 2-3 times coming home from the dealer. i had thoughts in the back of my head wondering if i should've gotten a more practical car, but feeling the car's drive, and hearing the exhaust, i knew as long as i kept driving and getting better i'd appreciate it more.
its about 3 weeks since i've had the car, i still have problems with hills but everything else is good. i'm loving the car, i just wish i could push it to the higher end rpms, but since i'm breaking it in, it's on a leash.
no regrets here...

Re: 6MT

The first car I have ever driven is a manual, I learned to drive in one, so there was never any question I would pick the 6MT for this car.

Re: 6MT

went from 5at sedan to 6mt coupe. even though my sedan was almost as quick and definitely more nimble than the coupe, the car is a different animal with the mt. I just hope the next car I get will be available with an mt.

Re: 6MT

I like to think of them as equally enjoyable in their own ways. Its how long that enjoyment lasts before you get bored of it. Thats why I chose the 6mt, hard to get bored of.

Yes, but only for about 0.00001 seconds.
That crazy thought briefly entered my mind when a call came through on my cell phone before I got my hands free kit... but alas, such absurd thinking has since never returned.

Re: 6MT

Clarification...when I say "absurd thinking" in reference to driving a 5AT, I am only speaking for myself and my own crazy needs and wants... I mean no disrespect to my 5AT-driving brothas and sistas for whom such choice may have made more sense...

Sincerely yours,
Mr. Diplomacy

Re: 6MT

NO way man. I've been driving manual since age 15. I love the total control. Besides, now my wife can't drive the car. Not that I'd let anyways :P

Sorry to play language cop here but did you really mean to say "alas"? It means "regrettably" or "sadly". I wonder if you meant something more like "thankfully" or "happily".

Just checking...
