I'm not all about my car...but I do know that a Saturn is a POS.

I rented a car from Enterprise once....its was a Saturn. And I second the POS statement. I'd rather drive a Civic (Did I just say that??).

No I'm not ignorant. It was definitely a POS. Maybe if I just said "a POS automobile" you would have been less distracted.

However, even if this hoopdie I saw wasn't all beat up, I still think ALL saturns are POS. A Saturn is sort of like a Bose. A great marketing ploy for an average piece of equipment that's overpriced and gets people to buy them because they had such cute ads.

I'd have to say that Saturns ARE a POS. I can respect a car in any price range. But for that price range, have some dignity and get a Corolla.

I have some Maui Jim Kahunas, too. Bought my dad a pair of Big Islands. Not many people know they're a Sunglass Hut company, but they're still nice glasses.

 

Saturns are POS. Actually I'd rather walk to be honest. Maui Jims are excellent sunglasses, probably the best lenses you can buy. Elvis, how's your Patek doing mate?

i think you guys should give respect for lower end cars. i own a saturn for 9 years. i do not believe it is a POS since i never had to fix it more than the regular check ups. its relatively alot better than alot of cars that are on the road in my humble opinion.

it was my best choice back then for the money (10K) and i was young so i didn't have to haggle and what not. after that i got a honda civic and then a acura TL-type s last year. i am planning to get the g35 in summer.

yet i still don't believe i would call some car like saturn as a POS although any car i bought after that car is significantly better (with a higher price). so pretty much u guys r just bashing on people who doesn't have enough money to buy a nice car. i can't really imagine if there's a porsche forum...they will be like..."oh ya..i saw one of those g35..and i ate it for lunch...what a POS" i dun think u guys would feel really good about that either. just cuz they paid like 200K for a gt2..just saying...different cars have different purpose..dun need to diss another car to make your car seems better and boost up your own ego...u have a g35...u know where u stand..and good for u =)

 

i feel you man.thats why i got aggrevated by all these g35 owners.yes, the g35 might be better, but it also cost 20k more. Saturns might not be as luxuriest,but its not a POS.

 

If you guys saw the real POS I drove all through school, you would have more respect for the lower end cars that you refer to as P'sOS.

I say it's a POS because it is not a good value for the money. Not because I'm an elitist. You jumped to a conclusion I never inferred. Perhaps it's reaction formation, perhaps you're just looking for a good flame or infantile debate. I don't know. I do know that the Saturn was marketing genius, nothing more. Just like Bose. It's an ok car that GM got everyone to pay sticker price for. Saturn became profitable faster than any auto company on record. That should tell you something about the value it provides to the buyer.

Comparing the Saturns to their competition, they have less power, less room, less amenities for the same price. That's why they are a POS in my opinion. I do not think a Neon, Civic, Corolla, or a Sentra is a POS. I don't think ALOT of $12k-$20k cars are POS. I think the Saturn is, not because of how much it costs, but because of the value it provides and the quality of the vehicle.

I think this debate is futile, our G's are POS cars to people that can afford better. I'm not arguing either side (I will leave my opinion of the car out :-) My wife when she was a little younger drove a saturn, I can't for the life of me remember what model but anyway....the power sucked, and that's all I can remember. My point being is that it faired very well in a side collision with an explorer going 40mph as my wife entered an intersection. She got out of the accident with only a headache and a couple of scratches and the car totaled and looked like it was in an accident 10 times worse. It kept my wife very safe and that counts for a lot.

 

I am not looking for a flame guy. Is that the only response you can come up with?If it wasnt me calling you ignorant for looking down on a car 20k less than the g35,then it would have been the other 2 or 3 guys that did. Where are you getting your information from that makes you think the saturn is a pos?A saturn ion coupe is cheaper, has leather, more room, and more power than the Civic. I've got to admit, the civic beats it in looks, but the saturn in not a pos. If it was, then they wouldn't be on the market anymore. plain and simple.

Remember that we all drive g35s here, so you are no better than me.
