German vehicles are high maintenance, no doubt about it. But I think the Germans understand the driver-vehicle connection better than the Japanese. The G35C is much better than the average Japanese car in this sense, but I think the Germans are second to none....they know how to make the driver feel sooo good when he/she is whipping the vehicle. My only problem with the new Audi S4 is that when I sat in it at the car show, the clutch was awfully weird. It was really light, then it got noticeably stiffer at the half-point mark...my friend's older Audi 5000 is the exact same way. It was so weird when I drove his car, I could barely do it. The G's clutch is stiffer, but much more progressive...I like the G's clutch a lot, although it can be on the stiff side for NYC driving (constant red lights every few blocks).
