Stealerships!!!

SOO my car is getting a 60k service right now and i get a phone call from the guy at the stealship and hes trying to tell me my belts are starting to crack

Now i have read hundred and hundreds of threads on this forum and not once have i read one about someones belts starting to crack.

Correct me if im wrong this doesnt typically happen does it?? and if so is there a way i can view and inspect these belts myself??? they wanna charge 200 dollars to change my driveline belt.

any help would be appreciated !!

Change the belts if they are cracking... i say go to your dealer and take a look at them... If they do need to be replaced.. Do not have it done at the dealer... you can get it done somewhere else cheaper

$200 to replace your drive belts?! It takes < 10 minutes to replace your drive belts. And you can pick up a drive belt at your local parts store for < $20.00 for a standard belt...

$200 is a complete rip off.

if thats the case is it possible to change the belt out myself... is there anything major that needs to be removed in order to do this

or is there a DIY on the board somewhere?

you could even buy the belts from them and have it installed at another mechanic for significantly cheaper!

You're wrong.

I've read recently that 60K is about right for replacing belts on this car.

Good suggestions already from the other posts. I will add my $.02 and say that I like to use factory parts because I've noticed poor quality from some makes sold by the likes of Kragen, etc. Contact user tony@riversideinfiniti to get a good price on factory belts.

its peace of cake the only thing that sucks about it is taken the plastic cover off from the bottem of the engine bay its not hard but there is like 20 screws that the only hard part then all your have ot do after that is loosen two bolts take the belts off and put the new ones on a tip befor u put the cover back on the bottem take it for a drive i put the cover back on and my belts started to squek so i had to take it off to adjust them. i found out how to do it in the 350z section
