I'm sitting at an intersection right after work this afternoon. The light turns green and for some reason I hesitate, but the guy next to me pulls out into the intersection and gets immediately slammed by another car. The guy next to me had a spanking new Audi A6. He got creamed all over the right side of his car. Everyone appeared to be OK, but what a shame. That guy is having a bad day and it could have been me!

 

I drove a motorcycle all through my university years. One habit that I still maintain is that I always make sure some idiot is not speeding through the intersection when my light turns green.

i am glad u r ok bcubed...ya...i really hate those people who just have no concept to stop for a yellow/red light....sometimes even on a left turn...i've cut them off 2 or 3 times just to let them stranded in the middle of the intersection =)

I lived in LA for a couple of years and I've seen my share of people running RED lights... maybe it's the road rage of being stuck in traffic. But yea, I make it a habit to look both ways still even when my light turns green... especially in high speed intersection where people are more prone to gun it on yellow or even red...
