Hello New Motor!!!

So I bought my 05 g35 coupe off a member here expecting it to have the oil consumption problem -- no big deal. Took my car into local Infiniti Dealership today to check for oil...after 1k miles and they came back 30 minutes later and said I need a new motor -- That easy??

So far, i am so impressed with Inifiniti! It's unbelievable how professional and helpful they've been to me up to this point. He said new motor would most likely be here MOnday (coming from sac town) and they'll toss me an FX45 or G35 Sedan to drive around....I'm going for the FX45

STOKEd! New motor...car has 28k miles....yahoooo

My car is being under the test at the moment. It should complete 1K miles by this weekend and let's see how it turns out.

Yes, congrats on a painless experience. Mine was a 2.5yr battle, but finally got one. Had OC two years prior to TSB then took ~6mo after to finally get mine. Got played by two dealers during testing, but I finally won and finally approved.

Many OC threads here on the good/bad/do's/don'ts with these. Might want to check them out. my350Z has one as well (it's the same VQ as ours)

I personally will not replace my clutch with factory, it chatters, not as much as aftermarket, but it does. And for the performance, not worth it.

So Two days later and they replaced my motor...so far so good...didn't end up replacing clutch (although I think they adjusted something or just put it back together differently because it's SOOOO much easier to drive now and it chatters about half as much - I love it!)

TWO THUMBS UP TO BEAVERTON INFINITI here in OREGON.....Matt the service writer took super care of me and no problems with the car so far! Simple and easy...never been to a dealer that was so easy to work with. Now if I could just get past this break-in period so I can get back on the rev limiter?? That's how I drive my cars!

Sweet yeah the service at towbin out here surprised me too! big thumbs up theyve taken care of everything... even when they replace the window moter they scratched my tint pretty bad and let me take it to my ting guy to fixed and they cut me a check for it ..... I changed my oil and noticed I was missing a quart or so .. so ill be having them do the test too

Good time to go boost- I boosted my car when they gave me a new tranny..

They did that with full bolt-on's and engine management- I couldn't believe it.

Ask them how much a new tranny is-- it should be around 5,500$
