Or you can keep a HeatShield in the front window. Makes a big difference on sunny days.

Re: Whoa! I didn't know!!!

Are they that much better than the ordinary sunshades I've used with reasonable success for years? If they are, then I wouldn't mind going the extra coin. ....
I also wouldn't mind using something on the back window to stop the shelf and speakers from 'cooking'. (other than tint)

Re: Whoa! I didn't know!!!

I've always just relied on tint in the back. Maybe next year's G35 will come with a rear sunshade option like the I35.

The HeatShield works a lot better than cardboard. It fits your windshield perfectly. It rolls up nicely, and flattens out nicely. The material it's made from really keeps the heat out, up to 40 degrees (F) cooler in some cases in the car's interior. I've never measured it myself, but it did use one extensively in South Texas before moving out here to Southern California. Not so big a deal here, but in Texas, without it, you'd be dripping sweat inside the car before the A/C could kick in.

Thanks bro, I'll check out that Heatshield site.
Those shades on the 'I' would be nice for the rear ------------ I wonder how easy one would be to retro. hmmmmmmmmmm

ReDRoK8,

I was on the fresh alloy forum and there was a post probably about 3 weeks ago that showed about 10 different mods you could do when the dealership hooked your car up to a computer. You can change anything from rolling your windows down w/ the FOB, to turning on/off the auto headlights after your turn your car off, to changing how many flashes and beeps the car gives when you arm/disarm the car. Thought you might be interested.

Re: Whoa! I didn't know!!!

Here's one for everyone. Last night I was in the garage puttering aound and I noticed my Coupe was locked. Windows up. I never lock it in the garage. I used the FOB to unlock the doors and went about my business. It seemed like a minute had gone by and I heard a resounding "clunk, Click.." coming from the Coupe.

I said to myself...what the hell was that. I walked over to open the door and it was locked. Both doors were locked. After running some test...unlocking with the FOB...she did it again and each time after that. I believe the security is programmed so if you lock the car and walk away and accidently finger the unlock on the FOB...after a minute or two, she says. "hey my owner didn't start me up....I'm locking down again!!!!"

Pretty tricky eh! Try it. You'll like it.
