HELP ME,CLUTCH JITTERS AND VIBRATION :(
Hi everybody im new here, just got my baby Tuesday white g35 coupe with black interior. What a beauty … but im kind of disappointed with the clutch feel, the day I drove out of the dealer I felt a jitter, notchy, vibrating feeling, like the clutch was not catching correctly olny in first(feels like its warped), you can also here somewhat like a scraping noise most of the time when im at a light when engaging in first gear and taking off. Now im not taking off hard or anything like that or abusing the car, it only has a 160 miles on it. I called Infiniti and they said to break it in… im worried about this, I just got out of my bmw 330 which was a stick and man was it smooooth. Is this normal for the g35s tranny? Should I be worried? Should I get another opinion? Did any of you have a similar feeling or problem? Please any post would be greatly appreciated. sorry for the long post.

When you have the windows down and you are starting from a stop in 1st gear, you will hear some strange noises from the tranny until the clutch is fully engaged. With the windows up, you cannot hear these noises. Try starting from a low rpm, like 1K. If you have AC off, you only need like 800rpm to start off because this engine kicks so much a$$.

Yes, this clutch has some chatter. It also doesn't help that it comes from the factory with a high engagement(at least mine did). I adjusted my clutch pedal using 3 1/2 full turns and made a huge improvement.

i have the same problem with mine. the grinding noise doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it's in first at a take off or a stand still...

when i first picked up my g i thought something was wrong with it as well. i think the car takes a bit of getting used to. my clutch never felt weird besides the fact that it was high and catches high, but i thought the shifter was strange for vibrating so much. if it grinds, you should get it checked out. my car never grinded switching gears.

i have the smae problem...do any of you guys hear the slight rattling noise when you are in neutral and the clutch is not depressed? i hear this sound more often than not, especially after a long drive, and the only time i've ever heard this noise was due to a worn main throwout bearing, which scares me since this car is brand new...i get alot of the chatter too which is often related to the throwout bearing as well, i'm going to notify the dealer when i get my next oil change in about 500 miles, hopefully this is normal, but the sound is really annoying and kinda makes the car sound cheap as i take off from a dead stop. it's true that you cant hear the noise when u have the a/c on or the radio, but with the windows down you can hear wat everyone else hears outside of the car. it's kinda embarassing when u have ppl look at your fine car then they hear the rattling and chattering from the car when u take off =(
