Flip Key
Trying to subscirbe to the thread...
From what I see...
I can get it done at Home Depot with a 38 practice key using cartridge A?
I only have 1 4 button flip key and want to make sure the cut will be good... because the Lowe's guy said he won't be responsible if he messes up...

Where did you guys put the chip at on the 4 button one? Not sure if there is an actual place for it. I opened it up the new flip key up but have not taken out the chip. Thanks for the help!
Sorry for the noob questions
Does anyone(to include ipearlg) have a pic of the 4 button key/fob he is selling for $32 shipped? The link posted is not good any longer. Cheapest I've seen on eBay is $44.95 + shipping.
After putting the key together everything works like a charm, exept for the trunk opener, i also tryed the original remote, but the same, is there anything i have done in the car that wont allove me to open it with the remote? Is there any way of programming the remotes to work on the trunk again?

Interesting, So is there a definete seller for good keys without having to take out the little chip and glueing it? I do't mind having to take the remotes apart and swaping in the buttons, I just don't want to mess with the original key.
Everything worked out pretty good for me. Had to put the key together after it popped out and sprung everywhere but the key looks good. No complaints except for the size and that the lock button from my OLD key button is sticking a little too much in and makes it uneven with the surface. Overall looks good and works fine.
I actually put the whole chip in the tight spot that is located by the key and it snuggly fit without any glue.
This was the 4 button one. Good luck and thanks all who chimed it!

I just got my flip key from ipearl today and put it together in like 30 minutes. He's a really great guy and the things looks and feels great! It's a little big, but I can live with that. I live in Canada, and I tried getting my key cut at Rona's and Canadian Tire but they both said they couldn't do it. So I took it to Home Depot and they cut it for me in 5 minutes. Works and looks great! I had a small issue at first with the lock button not working, but you just need to readjust and line up the buttons a bit better. Super easy!
