I guess we'll find out if its fixable or an isolated incident.

If that's true I'm totally bummed out.
i'm waiting to get my 3 button key cut... but after inspecting it looks like it could easily be modified to make the 4th button functional without having the exta bulk of the bigger 4 button remote.
just some careful dremel routing is required to cut a hole for the panic button

I just received my 3-button key from ipearlg today. I tried sticking the blank key into the ignition but it only went in halfway. I decided to get it cut and the machine used to cut the key could only cut one side of the key b/c of the way the key is attached to the base. Tried it after that and it still only goes in halfway and almost seems to get stuck if i try to push it in any further.
Can anyone confirm if a blank key can or cannot go into the ignition all the way?

I talked to the guy today. He was very nice and was eager to make it right. He took a look at the ones he had at his shop and they all look too big but he is working that out with his supplier. He is going to stop selling them until he gets the right key blanks which he said he would get soon. He is sending me the flip part from a nissan one he has (it's the same key as Infiniti) that is thin and will work (he tested it) but he only has a few of them and he has to ruin the nissan ones to do it. He offered to refund my money but I really want this key. I was going to dremel out the blank the locksmith made me and get it to fit the thing if I had to but he called me back with the solution he had found.
Over all I have never delt with anyone so helpful on ebay and I was very impressed since I sort of had made up my mind that I was going to get screwed but I could fabricate a solution with my trusty dremel
On another note the thing is only slightly larger than the stock remote (I have rubber jacket on mine and they are almost the same size) and it eliminates the keys hanging off (I hate jingling keys in my pocket) so it is all I have to carry. I almost never need my house key since my wife gets home before me and I will just hide one in the garage for emergencys.

It is very hard to tell the difference even when you are looking right at them both. You have to look down them from the point and you can just barely see a slight difference. You would need one of CSI's super macro cams to get a picture that you could see the difference.
I bought mine from Mykeyless-1. There are two sellers but with the other one the transponders have had issues and someone else had the same fitment issue with the other vendor. The fact is that they probably all come from the same manufacturer. These are just 2 resellers.

Hmmm.... I had to remove the key from the remote portion of the key in order to get it cut properly.
I have ONE that has the sticky pulled off the back. 2 dots of super glue and your golden.
$1.00 to r.karnes@yahoo.com via paypal
Not that I want the dollar. I just want the sale documented and a confirmed address. I'll send it tomorrow.
I only have the one and just to recap...the sticky is peeled off the back.
BTW I'm falling asleep so the replies and payment will show up on my phone in the morning. I'll update status then.
