Re: Wheel Bearings
do you mean front rotors? if they are replacing the rotors, I still think that may be a little high..................
if your talking about front wheel bearings, a small but significant part on your front spindles.....
I would say that price is outrageous......
wheel bearing sets could be at most $30
Call around and find out how much other dealers would charge you.....sounds like a rip to me........

Re: Wheel Bearings
PGA,
First off, you cannot 'bend' bearings! The bearings can be loose, or worn out. The only way the dealer can tell if the bearings are worn is by removing them, cleaning them and then doing an inspection. This should also be covered under warranty. Have you changed out your wheels from stock to custom with major offset? I would take it to another dealer and have them checked. Any shop that does front-end work can check for end play fairly quickly. If there is any end-play, I would get the dealer to verify any wear and a quick call to Infiniti Corp should get this taken care of. If the bearings do need to be replaced, ask to see the old bearings. There should be a bearing assembly (the bearings, bearing cage and inner race) and also a seperate outer race. The outer race is pressed in to the wheel hub and you should be able to separate from the bearing assembly. When inspecting the bearings, look at the bearing serfaces for pits, rough serfaces or bluing. Bluing occurs when bearings are over-heated, caused by lack of grease or just loose. Please keep us posted on what you find!
