Front Bumper...

Front Bumper...
Hey Guys!
Man do I have some bad luck... While driving to work today on the highway a piece of rubber comes flying out from under the car in front of me. When I get to work, I check it out... The left side of my bumper now has a quarter sized black spot where my nice pearl paint used to be...
Has anyone ever repainted or replaced their bumper...?
Or bought touch up paint yet...
Just curious as to how much it costs...?
Should have 3m'd it from the begining...

Re: Front Bumper...
You can pickup an auto pen sharpener from autovisuals.com, they are about $20 each. Worth a shot, considering it's potentially such a cheap fix and it will help you out with future incidents. I have not tried it for myself, but I am going to order one real soon (as soon as the minor random scratches on my car annoy me enough).
The first step you can try is to pickup a bottle of GS-27 Scratch Remover from a local mart and try using that stuff to move the paint around and possibly fill in the black spot. This is the cheapest solution and the one that I would try (and have tried) first.

I just had my bumper repainted (IP) last month, they orginally just painted the bumber, it did not match (whiter than original). Took it back and they had to blend it into the hood and fenders. Total cost $743, I also had them install a (factory)front lip, they charged me $23 to install it.
I have not had anymore chips on the bumper since then. I think it is holding up much better than the original paint!

Re: Front Bumper...
I had my front bumper repainted by Infiniti in December 03. I have the Ivory Pearl paint and was tired of looking at the chips which appeared black through my front bumper. The removal of the front bumper and repaint cost $250. They had to redo it 3 times to my satisfaction. I then installed a clear bra a month later.
