Squecky front end sound
Squecky front end sound
Hello once again lol,
I am having a SMALL squeky sound when I drive my car, and it seems to get louder when I use my breaks. Do you think its my break pads being dusty? Now they are quite dirty right now, and you can see the dust on the rims (I have brembo brakes). They are dity because of the everyday rain we have been gettign in Massachusetts of late, and I don't see it useful to wash my car. But I have never heard of a breakpad squeking while driving when I am NOT applying the brakes. Any suggestions on what it could be?

Im not sure if the brembos have the warning peice on the pads or not but most pads have a pre warning peice of metal on them. All it does is let you know that its time for replacement and it squeals when not apllying the brakes.

Here is one theory:
There are a bunch of joints up in the front suspension arms with little rubber boots on them, and what happens after time the lube in these joints dry out and provide you with some nice squeaking and creaking noises. This happened to my car awhile ago. Instead of replacing the arms, my mechanic stuck a small needle conncected to a lube gun into each boot and filled them back up with grease and what not. Afterwards he sealed the holes up with some sort of sillicone compound.
I really did not think it would last, but it has been three years since he did it and no signs of these awful noices have resurfaced.
