G35c or Ci?

AH - as i am waiting here patiently for my lease to end so i can FINALLLY buy/lease my G35coupe which i've been waiting for oh so long, and been saving for oh so long - my dad drops the bomb..."how bout we go look at the BMW Coupe?" first i said "ok but u do know the 6 series is expensive?" lol just to be a wise a$$ - but ofcourse he meant the 3 series. He thinks...and i quote "Infiniti knows they have a hot car - so they wont budge with the price - maybe u can get a better price on a 3 series" - UH OH! lol - ok yes the 3 series is a beautiful car - but comeee onnnn lol. BUT, obviously, im not going to ask which car the people here like better - hence the fact that this is G35driver.com lol....what i want to know is honestly pricing wise which is better, and help me with good points to tell my dad WHY the G35 is better. I told him already that if we want to really compare engines and cars we'd have to price the 330ci not the 325ci - let me know what else you guys think - i myself know and feel the g35 is a better price and a hotter car - let me know your takes and how i should approach this situation!

appreciate the help in advance...

Of course the G35 is a hotter car inside and out...but if u make the mistake of getting a 3 series (everyone buys them just to say they drive a beamer) then DON'T get the 325, atleast get the 330...but if u wanna give ur dad an excuse, tell him the beamers are seriously underpowered and if u wanna make it to cerfew on time u need a G!!

Looks alone G-coupe wins hands down, but you also get that amazing exhaust growlllllll, sorry, I'm extremely bias. BMW is nice, but they really have to give more for what they are asking for the 330Ci. MSRP at $42K is very very steep.

Re: G35c or Ci?

Well so happens I owned a 330ci a 02. I loved that car but had many problems with it. I swore I would never buy another one. I now own a G35c, I got it about a week ago. All I have to say is WOW! I love this car more then the BMW. Today I got a really really good chirp in 3rd yes 3rd gear. My 330 was fast but not that fast!

Re: G35c or Ci?

yes very tru - but since money is a determining factor he thinks the 3 series is cheaper (obviously hes not into this very much) lol - i told him the 3 series is hot BUT - everyone has it - PLUS the 325 only has about 190ish hp and the G has 280 - also the BMW doesnt come with much and i priced a 325 at about 37K with options comparable to the G with premium -plus its very underpowered compared to the 35K G that i was quoted at a dealership. He then says "so now your talkin about speed and power" i said "um yea" lol he must not remember being 21 yrs old and saving up 3 yrs for a sports car.

Re: G35c or Ci?

dont get a 3 series unless its an M3. Also, the bodystyle of the 3 series is gonna be redesigned next year so the car will be "old" after a year of having it

Of course G35 is better, its Japanese, less problems, less maintenance, costs less, comes w/ more period. Looks better, compared to 3 series, u'd prolly see one per 5-10 beamers. Think about it

All BMW n Mercedes are [censored] unless M series or AMG

Dun waste ur $ on overpriced POS when the G is jus better period

Test drive both and see which one you like better. They are both great cars. If you've saved up enough money for a G, you'll probably need to save another $10k to get a similarly equipped 330ci.

Re: G35c or Ci?

For the money...Defintely the "G", mine comes in on order very soon...My sister on the other hand is opting for the 325CI, she gets less car for more money...She has no clue, it took me months to convince her that she didn't need the extra 40 ponies that come with the 330ci...You realize for only that much more power, BMW charges an extra 7k...I told her to buy the 325 and with the extra cash she saved I'll slap a supercharger on there for her if she so desperately needs the power...Not that she does considering she has tickets out the ***...If you get the BMW your just another number...Great car but everyone has one...

BMW's have higher maintenance costs. Also my '01 330ci is literally falling apart at 45k miles.

Re: G35c or Ci?

I drove the 325 CI, sadly it was an AT and had no power what so ever, I really disliked the car, everything was an option, I'll never buy a BMW. Also the dealer said that he would not have a 5 speed in till late June, this was back in April =/

Re: G35c or Ci?

For the price difference between the G35c and the 330Ci, you could get a supercharger for the G35c :P

Re: G35c or Ci?

bmw doesn't have higher maintenence costs...
bmw throws in free oil changes etc. so that adds up too...
