Less driving because of gas prices...

Re: Less driving because of gas prices...
Prices will probably not go down.
Correction ..I was just at clublexus.com and they are saying the mileage will be more like 30 mpg on these hybrids. 30mpg is really not impressive to me.
Anyways back to topic...I still drive alot..alot...alot.....My NEEDS would have me drive about 600 - 650 miles per month...im doing 1000 miles per month...just cuz I love driving this beast.
Lexus will begin shipping the 400h suv (hybrid engine 60mpg) at the end of this year. It was at the auto show this year in NYC. By 2007 or 2008 a significant number of Lexus's will have this tech...or so rumors say. I believe these rumors.
Lexus is also selling their hybrid tech to other auto makers. Infiniti is one of them. Infiniti will release a crossover suv with this hybrid tech...FX45h?
So there you have it. I am pretty sure these hybrids will sell like hotcakes given the prices of fuel remain the way they are or rise.

Re: Less driving because of gas prices...
I say the hell with it...
driving it more would probably cost an extra 5 bucks or so per week - A very small sacrifice for the huge grin I get when I'm behind the wheel.
I live only once.
