Gas Millage
Gas Millage
Hello all, I bought my G35 coupe a couple of weeks ago and I love it, but I did notice that I do not get more than 20 miles/g. I mostly drive freeway. Is that normal? the advertised millage/g in freeway is 26.

Re: Gas Millage
Isn't it 20 and 29 mpg? It's not an advertised mileage, it's an EPA estimate. Most people don't drive the way you're supposed to in order to achieve the estimated gas mileage. I have a heavy foot and do 50/50 city/highway driving, and I get about 18mpg on average.

Actually it is 18-26. Ive got 6k on the clock and am running Mobil1 and a k&n drop filter and run 90% highway. I get 23-24 on average at 75-85mph. I have noticed in traffic that if i would go 70mph instead, i get 27-29mpg according to the nav, but then i couldnt live with myself.
Re: Gas Millage
Just filled up today. Got 25.5 mpg, calculated the old fashioned way. Mostly freeway miles, and I was consciously trying to shift at lower rmps to see how my mileage would improve. I'm pretty sure I can get it up into 26mpg maybe 27mpg, but it's no fun. I'd rather drive it like I normally do, and just settle for 23.5mpg.
Re: Gas Millage
i get around 20 highway or city. i get about 325-375 miles per tank.i pump around 17 gallons.
i'm starting to get 350+ now that i have put more miles on the car. i only got like 325-350 when i first bought it.

I managed to get 27mpg once running around 55-60mph the whole tank. Never want to do that again. I'll take the hit and get 24mpg at 80mph. Usually 14-18 city driving, depending on how I'm driving.
