Low Brake Fluid Lite ON

I have 05, G35 6MT. Yesterday I saw the low brake fluid lite warning on.

Can you guys suggest what is the recommended brake fluid to be used in the G35?

but you should check to make sure you're not leaking anywhere, brake fluid doesn't really get used up

Yes, it said DOT 3 fluid.

I was looking for any particular brand that Infiniti recommends.

A week ago I had my car scratch under the body really bad when I was backing out of the parking lot...not sure if caused any damage to cause brake leakage... damn

It doesn't get "used up" but it does get transferred from the master cylinder to the brake calipers as the brake pads get worn down. I've noticed on other cars that when my fluid light comes on it usually means the pads are close to needing to be replaced.

+1...check your pads. Fluid warning light is usually a good indication that your pads are worn.

yep agree with the prior posts. just to double check, look on the ground for any leaks and look in the resovior to make sure there is some fluid still left - it doesn't hurt to fill it up i'd say 1/2 way between min and max. if for some reason you do have a leak your brakes will fail.

note: if you brakes do fail, remember to pump them and you should get one last stop out of them.
