I have the g35 sedan 14k miles on it and i have the same problem. Is there a way to clean it? it is really annoying..

 

Gforce, is the same thing happening to your shift **** cause my shifter is all woren out too

 

The leather on the shifter is fine but the finish where the numbers for the gears are is destroyed. I Blame my college ring for that one though so I'm not gonna make a stink about it. I'll tell you this though If I were to get the shifter replaced I would put a piece of scotch tape on the top to keep it new.

 

yea, gripping too hard is bad...not only for your steering wheel but for your driving as well. just grip it lightly with your fingers for optimum control.
