Re: Stop The Vibration

Yeah get rid of your transmission. Your driving a RWD high powered car. The tranny is mounted directly to your engine. The gear selector is going to vibrate. Do a search about this, you'll learn more. I don't see how so many people complain about the damn gear selector vibrating, a) your hand should only be on it for brief moments, riding with your hand on it ruins your syncros (as they are DIRECTLY connected in a RWD layout) and b) what are you comparing this vibration to? an acura or honda or similar no hp FWD vehicle? If so, those don't vibrate as much due to their lack of power and FWD layout. As I said, do a search, youll find much more information about this, but these are the basics.

Re: Stop The Vibration

i compared it to my cousins 1997 NA toyota supra.....and i can tell you that the supra has less vibration while shifting or while idleling, or maybe its just natural for SOME nissan to have trhese vibrations...coz we use to own a 1992 sentra and a 1997 240sx, and the vibration is more noticeable when compared to other cars. i also noticed that the 1992 sentra has a lil more vibration when i compared it to a 1993 integra LS...but Ummmm yea....time for me do a search and get more info on this....THANKS!

Re: Stop The Vibration

I actually really like the vibration.
Gives me a good feel of the car, especially at the red zone...

Re: Stop The Vibration

leaving my hand on the shifter ruins the synchros? ah ****. haha, i don't push down on it or anyhting, but i'd usually leave my hand resting there while i'm driving. except for when i'm cruising at high speeds.

Re: Stop The Vibration

Unless you are putting pressure on it....you are not damaging the syncros.
