You are saying that the mats I got are for an MT car?

Is the center console on MTs shorter than on ATs?

Other way around. The 6MT console is longer than the 5AT.

Then this theory is out as well, my car is a 5AT, and the mat is squeezed already. Imagine if it was a 6MT, there would be even less space for it.

Hmm, sorry. Then I don't know the answer, except to say maybe it is for the sedan and not the coupe. If the part number is on the box, you can probably google it, and get your answer. Let us know how it works out.

you're thinking about it the wrong way.... if it is longer, then the mat has more room to lay flat... either way, apparently your dealer sold you the wrong type for your car and hopefully they'll be able to exchange it for you (specially since it was their error)... good luck...

Hi, I dont understand what you mean.

If that console was longer, it would stick more to the rear, allowing less gap between the rear seat and the console.

look at it this way... longer console <____> shorter console <__>... i assumed, based on the previous poster's post that when he said console, he meant the center shaft that sticks out on floor of the rear... now it's just a matter of semantics...

but obviously the first one has more space for the mat... either way, that's not even the point... the point is that apparently your dealer sold you the wrong type of mat and hopefully will exchange it... (you obviously need a mat that is narrower in that middle connecting part)...

sorry, when a conversation gets very technical, my lack of native English skills come out.

But I am with you on the fact that the dealer needs to come through and correct it for me.

I sent them an email showing the photo, and I am now waiting for a response.

Cheers

Ben

I would like it to be nice and flat. I need to remove the center console and stuff the leftover mat underneath?

How is it in a car that came with the mat from factory? Can some of you maybe post a pic?

Thanks

Ben

So the right ones don't fit by default?? I am puzzled and doubting that Infiniti would do something like this from factory....
