Ordered floor mats, not sure its the right thing.

Hi,

I have recently ordered floor-mats for my G35, as I purchased the car without them. It came from the Nissan dealer here locally, and it was shipped from Japan.

I just installed them this morning, and the rear mat looks really strange. Its basically bridging the two mats together and goes over the drive shaft (cardan-shaft). The part that connects the two mat-halves is a bit wide I think as it passed through the shaft between the ash-tray and rear-centre console.

Please have a look at the pics below. Did I get a wrong part? I ordered this:

999E2JQ000EC

Thanks,

Ben

I could be wrong, but those look like floor mats for a sedan. I'd email them the pics and ask if those are the correct item for your car...

Hi

So what do you do to fit them properly?

I would like it to be nice and flat. I need to remove the center console and stuff the leftover mat underneath?

How is it in a car that came with the mat from factory? Can some of you maybe post a pic?

Thanks

Ben

I dont know why yours seem all scrunched up... Mine is the same type and fits perfectly flat... Perhaps there is a difference between the years (i.e. 03-04 vs. 05-07)... Hope you resolve your issue...

Very strange indeed. Mine is the 05' and I asked them for the 05 floormat. Dont know what happened.

Maybe some more people can report back with their mat results.

The mat is for an automatic transmission car. The car is likely a 6MT ???

The counsels are different lengths..Can you confirm?

Hi,

Thats sounds like a valid point, just in reverse. My car is an AT, and the mats might be made for an MT?

Its strange though, as I gave my VIN to the dealer. It should be an error on their side.

I have an 05 6MT and my mats came from the factory as two piece rear mats. I thought those one piece were for the sedans

I still have the box they came in, so I will check the sticker, and post back. If they delivered something else than what I ordered, I will go back to complain.

Hi, I dont remembeer exactly the amount for the floormats, I got these and a set of Clear corners and a trunk cargo-net, and I paid all together 130USD with shipping included from Japan.
