vandalized G survey

i've ready many posts about g's or other nice cars being keyed, painted, written on, slashed tires etc...

trying to see if there's any kind of pattern.

many happened on college campuses. i'm sure parking lots, etc...

if you don't mind revisiting the pain, please share: what happened, time of day, and general where abouts.

if there is a big trend, it might help others from being high risk.

Re: vandalized G survey

My dealership has damaged my G 3 times.

Them denying it makes it vandalism in my book.

Re: vandalized G survey

in the last few months me n my G has gone thru hell
while driving up to boston, i hydroplanned and ramped into the guardrail on the Merrit parkway, when i finally got my car back 2 months later someone broke the passenger side sideview mirror..few days after i got that fixed someone keyed my trunk
this all happened around northeastern campus in boston...

i guess i am just having bad luck or someone is really hating on me

Re: vandalized G survey

In the last two months that I have ownded my G, it has been keyed twice and my front bumper looks to have been kicked leaving a scuff mark across the front =( . . .. The first time it was keyed was in a parking lot and someone slashed it twice (one big one and a little one) across the front of the hood from one side to the other. My girl and I just finished eating and it was late, but I could still see it when we walked across the front of my car- dayam, was I pissed... On a seperate incident I noticed another light keyed mark near the rear quarter panel... At this point, I almost didnt care anymore... I've used ScratchX and even brought it to a detailer, but I can still notice them at certain angles and its in the back of my mind... But what finalized it all was the scuff mark some boot left on my front bumper!!!! I dont know what drives people to do this... Some punk had to have walked by and just felt like doing this.. I had backed up into an isolated parking spot with an island to my left and a huge gap for handicaped parking on the right- so somebody had to have purposely done it... But what can I do!!.... This is the worst luck I've had with a new car... I get so mad when I think about it, but what can we do to prevent them??

No vandalisms yet! (knocking on wood). Although someone stole all my valve stem covers. Whats up with that?

Re: vandalized G survey

Somebody took a screwdriver and tried to scrape off my Infiniti symbol on the trunk. They must've heard something and ran away while they were doing it because the symbol was half off and they gashed my paint good. If I catch them they will be in jail for vandalism and I will be in jail for attempted murder.

Re: vandalized G survey

Hit and run in parking lot at golf clubhouse at my parents retirement community. Some idiot smashed in the rear quarter panel behind the back wheel. I think it was a golf cart because the damage also scraped the rear spoiler (not sure what else could have caused that). Never caught the ba$tard.

Then a few weeks later - don't know where - someone SLAMMED their car door into mine on the passenger side. The dent repair guy said it looked malicious because of the force required to that level of damage.

I paid good money to get both repairs good as new but I have an eternal distrust for anyone getting near my car and I only park in places that I feel are very safe.

When I die I want to go quietly in my sleep, like my grandmother. Not screaming in fear like the passengers in her car.

Re: vandalized G survey

1.) Some *** slammed their door placing a small ding in my driver side door. Not sure when this happened

2.) Some *** hit my car while it was parked in a public parking garage near my work. It made a small dent and 3 deep scratches on the drivers side of the bumper.

3.) Some other *** rubbed his car along the other side of the bumper leaving several scratches. I dont know when this happened.

4.) Some other *** set a box or something on the trunk of my coupe and then slid it across the trunk. This happened at the public parking garage near my work.

5.) Some other jerk left scratch marks on the passenger side of my car. This happened at the public parking garage near my work.

As a result of this I found another parking garage to park in. I also now leave my name and number with a note anytime I see someones car even getting the slightest ding and write down the license plate of the offending jackass. If it is ever more than just a ding, I will immediately leave a note and go to the nearest police station to report either a vandalism or hit & run. Screw these jerks. I hope they get a conviction on their record and if f---s up their lifes for being so inconsiderate and destrying property of others.

Re: vandalized G survey

I feel for all you guys.

1) At Miller Infiniti-Van Nuys, they must have backed up and scratched my front bumber. I brought it to their attention and they claimed that they did not do it and that i did not have evidence that they did so they said they couldnt help me. So after an hour of buffing it out no one can notice it, but i can. Same day i told them not to wash my car either. They did of course and now i have some scratches on my trunk.

2) Damn punks! A couple of 18/19 year olds with their "fast accords" had been giving me dirty looks since i brought my baby G home. Just for kicks they reved me up at a stop light one night. so i couldnt help it. Light turn Green and we were off! Of course i pulled away like a bat out of Hell! we came to the stop light and noded "whats up". I guess they cant accept defeat and the fact that they cant afford a G so the next day i come home and leave the car in front of my house and i go out to wash it. well guess what? there was a dent from a piece of broken pipe on my drivers door. I was beyond mad. Luckly my neighbor saw the incident and directed me to whom i should go after.
you would think kids like that would respect someone with something a bit better than what they have. I know i always did.

So now, even if im just going inside the house and coming right out, i now put my car in the garage.

I also park as far away from the market, mall... so my baby can rest all by itself.

Re: vandalized G survey

Nice cars that are clean seem to attract birds and people with bird brains. The most you can do is trry to avoid parking lots as much as possible and places like that. But no matter where you park it, it is like a magnet and seems to attract people who are jealous. I know how all of you feel. My disasters have been train station, movies and parking lot. I pray that it gets better for each of you because I know you take pride in your machines as do I.
