Anyone Sponsored?

So I entered my info on http://carsponsorships.com/ and John just gave me a call asking if I was still interested. Idk if this is some sort of scam, but it does say that they don't charge you until you get sponsored so idk? All I have to do is hand out shirts/fliers at some car shows and then pay $89 and get sponsored for a year. What are everyone's opinions on this? He was a pretty nice guy and told me to give him a call back when I decide, but just want to make sure I won't get shafted lol

I'm sponsored by:

Meguiar's
Dunlop
Valvoline
Kicker
Autometer
GS Motorsports
Will's Discount Tire
Zeetoyz
NOS Energy Drink
Top Speed Auto

Carsponsorships.com has a contract you have to sign if I'm not mistaken, which you should fully read over and understand. There will be quite a few requirements on your part before you can see benefits. If I'm not mistaken it's typically a discount on parts. Landing full sponsorships isn't as easy as paying a fee. If you're serious about showing your car and landing full sponsorships, you'll need a good track record.

I think you should sponsor yourself like that guy in the old bmx movie, remember, he did the backflip on the bike

I'm sponsored by my bank account.

There's no where to sign up for it. You have to make contact with the companies through networking. SEMA is a good spot to meet and discuss.

It is very hard to make it work it is all about networking and who you know, and what you can do for them.
