The new TL with the performance package (upgraded body kit, wheels and engine components) looks really good. Just saw one the other day.

If you get a manual, Acura's/Honda's will always be easier than the G35.

Man it must be nice to live off your rich parents and get a nice *** car to go along with it. I wish my parents were rich.

Re: Considerin the g35 but...

I have a 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe and my sister has a 2004 Acura TL. The TL is very good, the handling and power is there and it comes with a lot of features. It is a good price and the car looks are very nice (completely subjective). My coupe on the other hand has more space than I'll need at this point in my life (I'm 20 and almost done with college) and enough power to satiate my need for adrenaline. The G is a much more mod-friendly car at this point and if your into cars I think the followers of the G are much more knowledgable in that respect. I think it depends on what you're really for in a car... for me the G satisified what i needed:
1. Plenty of room for rear passengers for trips less than 100 miles
2. 280 HP
3. Many mods will come out for the G
4. Brakes!
5. Infiniti Service has been better than the service I've gotten from Acura IMO.

Now for the Acura:
1. Sister says she gets better MPG
2. It has more room but do you really need that much?
3. Very nice handling from a sedan (MUCH better than my 2003 model TL)
4. Packed with features from closing doors to DVD-Audio (Again, how much is really used?)
5. 270 HP (power is nice but G feels like more IMO due to the power being delievered in the lower RPM range)

Take my reviews of both cars with a grain of salt as I'm sure you'll have different opinions. Test-drive both cars and I know whatever decision you come up with, you'll be very happy. Congrats on the new car, whichever it may be!

Re: Considerin the g35 but...

TL's interior is gorgeous! as for exterior styling, i'd say the G has a slight advantage, though in about 5 years i daresay the TL will look a little more up-to-date. the TL reportedly has awful torque-steer issues--magnified in manual trannies, and minimized in auto....

i say go for the G if you consider yourself more of a driver.

I have the coupe for almost one year now and find the back room is pretty decent (although i never sit in the back yet.) One thing though, if you are planning to fit someone who is over 5 '10 in the back seat, make sure he wears a helmet.
