Have you drilled through your firewall at all? Did you crawl underneath to see if something poked a whole? Sounds like you got one somewhere if it's only when it rains. Is it there when you are not moving? You need to probably get it in and looked at before mold starts to grow if you really do have a leak.

Have you had your windshield replaced? It could have a leak in the urethane or a rubber grommet in the fire wall could be missing or dry rotted allowing water in your car.

no but it got me thinking it may be caused by the huge gauge amp power wire i fed through but unlikely. maybe we can diagnose thiss at towers. im not gonna worry about it.

I had a similar problem on my 95 Maxima. The plastic drain tube in the drivers A pillar that lets water out of the sunroof trough came detached from the drain at the top of the pillar. When it rained or I washed the car it would run down the inside of the pillar onto the floor. It took me a while to find it. I poured water directly into the sunroof drain and it started leaking out of the pillar. I was able to pull down the corner of the roof liner to get the tube pushed back on it's spigot. So use a hose to help find the leak. Start low at the cowl area first. If no water shows up, try the sunroof.

this used to happen in my 180sx. It was because the rubber grommets which had all the cables running from the boot to the car were removed, also i had no inner splash guards so thats why the water was getting into the grommets and into the car

yes, it's held on with couple of plastic screws...once you pop it out, you'll see the cabin filter slot...
