CAI - Does it void the warranty?

This has been posted before, but searching sometimes takes longer than a simple answer.

Thanks

It may cause a claim to be denied but will not summarily void your whole warranty.

They have to be able to prove that your aftermarket part directly caused the problem. I think it's the Magnuson-Moss Act.....somebody help me out.

Re: CAI - Does it void the warranty?

Yes under that act the dealer has to show a direct corelation between the part and the damage...ie an aftermarket exhaust would not cause the radio to die...if u put an intake on and it sucks up water which causes hydrolock then its your fault, but they cant void your entire warranty because of that one part

Thanks guys. After reading that, I don't want it anymore. I think I'll just go with the K&N air filter.

Well that post talks about losing low end bite, and increasing power above 3500 rpms. I'd rather make it quicker off the line first.

You have to at least do the Z tube if nothing else, for the sound.
