Traction "control?"
Traction "control?"
Im just curious as to how many people are scared shitless to drive in the rain with VDC on. I hit a puddle today, coming around a slight turn with both of my right wheels (good 2 inch deep puddle). Anyway, my slip light came on, and it literally felt like my left two wheels just were not turning at all, it felt like a 2 ton brick just got thrown down on my brake pedal. Cause me to slide out my rear and almost T-bone a guard rail. I swear, this just isn't my week. Normally in dry weather I drive with VDC off at all times (I hate how it bogs you on shifts if the tires go) but I think Im going to be driving with it off fullt ime now. Anyone else have any scary expericences with VDC yet or was this just bad luck

Re: Traction "control?"
Do you mean "sacared to drive with VDC on?"
With VDC on in the rain I get good traction. I hit deep puddles and pull through w/o a problem. With VDC on it is the best car, besides my Swifes SUV, that I've even driven in the rain. Now with VDC off... that's a different story. If that is what you are referring to, I see exactly what you're sayig. But that goes for any power rear wheel drive sports car. I had it off one time and just wanted to see wat would happen. I was in a low traffic area and the ground was slightly wet. I lost traction w/o even trying hard. I quickly backed off then calmly reached and pressed that little VDC on button.

Re: Traction "control?"
Too much car for me in the rain with VDC off. I love it when it rains. It's the only time I can take the Camaros and Cobras. Especially in the twisties....run and gun!

Re: Traction "control?"
you race in the rain?? That's crazy, even more so that you can find someone to go up against..
I love VDC, especially in bad weather. I haven't had any bad experiences yet, but sometimes I think it brakes way too much. It's a safety system though, so I expect it to be a little overprotective.
