Things that make you say, "How does that make sense?" about your coupe:
Here is one:
Why did the Nissan Murano get projector headlights at least 2 years before the G35 (might have been 3).
One more:
Why did Infiniti decide to put the oddest sized tires on the OEM 19's. Back Order Hell!
And one to grow on:
Why put brembo breaks on the 03/04, which are extremly strong for OEM, but then remove it for later models. Price, ummm its a 30k plus luxury sports coupe... comon... or did people really complain about them performing too well???

I think car companies make deals with tire companies--we will put a very odd sized tire on the car if you give them to us cheap so that everyone will be forced to buy your tires in the future.
I have asked this question about 2 of my own cars:
2001 Acura CLS: 215/50 stock with an 7.5" rim--can't go to 235/45 because rim is too narrow; 225/45 throws your aspect ratio way off.
2004 Z with 17" wheels: talk about weird sizes: 225/50 in the front, 235/50 in the rear. How many companies do you think make tires for this stagger??
