The rear end gets away from you fast whenever you increase power in the middle of a turn, vdc on or off.

Most of the more "seasoned" members learnt and recommend a long time ago to not turn off the VDC unless at the track drag racing. I guess we have to have a few more accidents, one or two a month for everyone to learn to keep it on in most situations.

I guess I feel the exact opposite:

My experiences with vdc have been this.....I've driven faster, lighter, and cars with much more torque, in bad weather and good and always learned to be responsible with the car in bad weather. Driving is a responsibility and you have to understand that, gasing it around a turn in the rain isn't exactly the smartest thing to do, but we've all been guilty of it at some point. Its part of learning the car, however, because I actually enjoy learning my car, how it reacts to everything and hopefully, account for almost every variable I can, the G's VDC is about as useful to me as my card holder. IMO its very over reactive, and causes more problems than it's worth.

I don't turn off my VDC unless I am on track or in an empty parking lot having some fun. Honestly if you are activating the VDC on public road you are overdriving the car.
