G35 Coupe
Calipers Painted -pics inside

Well, about 3 weks ago, i got my calipers painted to a settled silver, to match that of the G37, kinda. Had my girlfriend paint them i thought she would be better since she has a steadier hand. opinions are welcomed, now for pics

BEFORE

AFTER
First coat

Car on Jacks ...... SCARY

Second Coat

Third coat, notice the glare

Scariest part was car on car jacks
, it was pretty easy though, to my very honest opinion, i think she/me did a great job on it, i know it might not match the quality of a paint shop, but hey u get what u payed for , so im very happy.

EDIT*** - will post pics tommorow after washing car :P

Cute....!

Wow, those look like brand new (justoutofthebox) calipers. While you were
at it did you notice the rust on your hubs? The whole job would have looked
much better had you masked off everything and given them a few shots of
semi-gloss black spray paint....nice job! Next time you decide to
jack up your car read the manual, I'm not surprised you were nervous that's
the wrong area to jack up your G35!

I painted mine with the caliper off the car (errrrr hanging from the car) while I was changing the brake pads. I used a wire brush before I painted them to get rid of all the dirt and crap caked on them. I used a can of hi-temp paint from Duplicolor, worked great.

hahaha, I was actually hesitant on posting my pics but someone asked for a side view w/ wheels so I did it. If I could go back I wouldn't have done the stickers though. There was a thread here a while back where someone did it so I figured what the hell, it was only $7 shipped I think.
