BECAREFUL even with the vdc off u can do major damage to your rear end by chirping or spinning the tires. yes we all do it because, well lets face it, tis fuvkin awesome. but it will eventualy destroy the rear end.

vdc off only when im intentionaly spinning or chiriping other wise its on especaiyl cold morning or when it wet. the spinning will do alot of damage overtime.

You guys are too easy on your cars. I have NEVER heard of the rear end of a G or a Z getting damaged. Beat the **** out of your car on a daily basis. You only live once.

+1... getting a car and not having any fun in it is like giving a little kid a new toy for Christmas, but telling him he has to keep it on the shelf in the box and he can only look at it lol.

That's why a VLSD is used on the 6mt and not a gear/clutch type...

No, engine dampers are there to reduce harmonic vibrations due to inertial imbalances and combustion pulses. They will do nearly nothing for drivetrain shock loading. The engine already comes with a harmonic balancer from the factory. It is part of the crank pulley which is why the aftermarket pulleys are so much lighter than the factory one. The aftermarket ones do not provide harmonic dampening. That is also why Nissan uses the dual mass flywheel. It also reduces vibration (and some shock load). Light weight and standard type flywheels also remove the vibration dampening function.

Like some of the others said, the drivetrain can take a good bit of abuse before damage occurs. Just have fun without being a total tard and it will be OK.
