The cobra is pure power and ***** but looks like all other mustangs out there. If you want a car that your neighbor down the street doesn't drive, get the G35. I have a DG 6MT and love it. I get looks everywhere. The G35s suspension is not as tight as my 1991 300ZX but a suspension upgrade can fix that issue.

 

These are 2 very different cars. I can't imagine how you could go from a Z06 to an SVT and be satisfied. My dad had an '02 Z06 for almost 2 years, and for an unmodded car that costs ~50k, there is nothing IMO that can beat it. That car is an absolute blast to drive. My girlfriend's dad is a huge Mustang fan, and they've had all kinds of GT's and Cobra's, and I've driven all of them. IMO, there's no comparison to the Z06. Not only is the Z06 a better looking car, I think it's better performer. Sure, straight-line acceleration is pretty close, but given equal (good) drivers, the Z06 will mop the floor with the Cobra on a track and all driving situations besides an outright drag race (and even then it probably won't lose). Cornering in the Z06 is simply amazing for a stock car. I mean when was the last time the Mustang got any car of the year awards?

I know I'm talking a lot about these 2 cars and not the G, but my point in doing so is to say that I personally don't believe that you'll be happy with a Mustang after having driven a Z06 for a while. So I guess my suggestion is to go with the G. To each his own though...

In fairness to the Cobra though, it is over $10k cheaper than a Z06. A very strong bang for the buck performance car in its own right. But its not a Z06.
