- put your car in neutral
- press brake pedal, do not release
- rev to ~5k rpm - you'll feel the brake pedal sink a little
- release gas pedal
- put it in drive (or manumatic)
- without releasing the brakes, rev to ~2-2.5k rpm
- release brakes and punch gas at the same time
+1 if you dont do the first 4 steps then as the last person said the ECU cuts in and you end up with a slow launch, its kinda a pain, I wish I had a 6mt many days it'd be soo much easier to launch

So why does the ECU not cut in when doing the first steps...what's it "reading/sensing" for it to cut in when only doing the last steps? I hope my question made sense.

"Street racing"...12 days in jail with a 4 day(2 weekends) option...I fought that with a lawyer and had it reduced to a $250 fine and community service.
