It was such a nice day today, first day with all the snow melted in whatnot that I just had to take my baby out of a spin. Anywho, she's only got like 250miles on her after 10weeks, but I figured i'd just poke the gas pedal once and let-off before the redline.

So I stopped, checked, grinned, and gave it a nice shove(hehe, yea, i'm bad ). I was suprised as all hell- NO power below 3K. I let off around 3K because i was stunned- wahhhh, no wheel spin or anything.

I'd read a bit before that to really get the wheels spinning you have to launch it from 2 1/2K, but I thought it had enough torque to get the job done from a standstill. guess not

we'll see....next time I'm gona launch it from like 3K to get into the powerband quicker.....but i'm gona wait until she's fully broken in, don't want to beat on her too much yet


did anybody else experience the same feelings from a stop- that there's no power below 3K?

Yeah, the power is lacking before 3K. But that's in almost every car except for A Big V-8.

hehe, that's what I figured, but all my other vehicles have been 'stangs, so I got to enjoy the pleasure of low end torque at low RPMs, heh.

Yep, that would classify. This car wants to take off after 4K, it really wants to go straight to the Redline then. I know I shouldn't know being that mine only has 400 miles on it - but I said screw it, just like you did.
