Can anyone recommend flywheel/clutch kit

I may need to replace flywheel/clutch/pressure plate assembly. Can anyone recommend a good after market brand?

Thanks

The ACT are great. It holds a lot and also it feels just like stock. The best part the flywheel is lite weight therefore it lets u rev faster.

If u're interested I have a NEW ACT clutch/flywheel/pressure plate for 800 shipped in USA.

Another question...does anyone know if putting an aftermarket clutch/flywheel like JWT would void the powertrain warranty?

Thanks

what part of the oem clutch is covered under powertrain? NOTHING so why not upgrade to a good aftermarket one so u wont have to replace oem clutch down the road. Also I wouldnt go with the cheap or non popular clutch bc u get what u pay for and the JWT chatter like crazy.

I just bought and installed the JWT flywheel and clutch combo, and would highly recommend both. I live in California, and was able to get the flywheel and clutch installed by the dealership without voiding my warranty. Just to be sure, I'd run it by your dealer first and see what they have to say.

thanks nasty,

that was the combo i was leaning toward. I called the service guy i usually deal with for warranty stuff and he said it would void my warranty. I'll bring your post up with him and see what he says. I was really hoping to do the install myself though...i hate paying for labor when i could do it.

Anyone have any comments about exedy?

There is no such thing is as voiding your warranty, It will veto the part about your clutch and tranny most likely but if your door locks stop working they will have to cover other areas of the car. I forget which act it is but do some homework.

I have a JWT and it chatters but I dont mind it.

That's true. Didn't even think of that when i was talking to infiniti. I have 2nd and 3rd synchro problems and i have been fighting with infiniti for 4 weeks now. They tell me it's a pressure plate issue but won't admit the synchro problem. They tried to tell me that i put wrong fluid in and that it was a combination of the pressure plate not fully disengaging the clutch and the fluid. They think i'm retarded.

Anyway, i figure i'll fix the clutch and then they have to replace the tranny. And that brings me to this post.

This is a beginners question, but I would you say changing the Flywheel on a 5AT is good for its money. It shouldn't matter if it's a 6MT or a 5AT, should it?

I'm assuming it's very similar to the JWT - it chatters like crazy too. But that's what happens when you get a lightweight flywheel...

I'm going to order the JWT soon and see how different they are as far as feel and driveability goes.
