so you are saying in 150 miles you put back in 16+ gallons of gas?

If thats the case, then obviously its not the sender.

I'm sorry, I'm not sure how much it will cost you. You can either get a quote from dealer and I'm sure will cost you up in the $400 range. I've checked the part out before on Infiniti TSB site and it looks very easy to change. You can have a trusty mechanic get the part and replace for you and its cheaper that way.

I can guarentee you its the sender, because if your car was really burning fuel inefficiently like that, you would be blowing black smoke out of the exhaust (running rich) and the engine would not be idling smooth at all (misfiring) and there would be a check engine light.
