Re: Winter driving the G35 Coupe

I put Blizzaks on the stock 18's and had no problem this last winter in NY. We got a couple of good storms and I had no problems in any of them.

Re: Winter driving the G35 Coupe

A concern I've heard mentioned is: if you get the 18" wheels with Brembos, I'm not sure the 17" oem wheels fit.

Ideally, I would want to get the 18" performance package, especially LSD, but would need snow tires for winter. Am I stuck with using 18" snow tires, as opposed to buying a second set of 17" wheels for 17" snows? That would be the ideal situation. 18" summer, 17" snows for winter.

Thanks for any information on this as I'm also wanting a coupe, and live in a mild winter zone.

Re: Winter driving the G35 Coupe

You only get the Brembos if you get a Manual Transmission. If you get an automatic, you cannot get Brembos (from the factory), and 17s will fit and work just fine.

If you do get Brembos, most 17s will not fit. There is more info on this in the wheel/tire forum.

I got an automatic with the 18 inch wheels/tires. I bought aftermarket 17s and put snow tires on them.
