when I called Mike at riverside our gas gauge normally whenever you hit E you will only fill up about 15-16 gallons...meaning that you have another 50-60 miles to go on your tank...the maximum I have gotten before was 240 with my new engine installed. I am thinking there may be alittle thing here and there that is causing it which is what I am having checked out..I am also running a walbro 255 Fuel pump in my car.

^ Does that Mike own a G? Does he driving days in and days out like most of us in here? Does he even fill the gas for us or he is just telling by the manual? I don't know about the later years, but 03 - 05 are known for fuel sender issue. Happened to me twice and had it fixed by the deal under the warranty. Happened again right when my warranty went out. I just leave it, only have to reset the trip meter everytime I fill her up and every 350 - 370 miles trip I fill up about 16 gallons. If your car still under warranty, have the dealer fix it for you. If not and you ***** out about that, you can try filling up the tank, reset the trip meter, have a reserve can of fuel in your trunk and drive til its empty out. See how much mileage you'll have in your tank.

There are some more info what the parts are in that site but I don't have tim e to search for you.

my gas mileage has also been erratic.

based on the owner's manual, a 2003 g35 coupe has a 20 gallon tank capacity.

too bad i have an aftermarket fuel pump, so no warranty for me

Do you still have your AFR meter installed?

Do you still have OEM injectors installed?

Have you checked your plugs?

Do you have any CELs?

do not have the AFR anymore....whatever my new engine came with is what I have..I would imagine Stock injectors and stock plugs. No CEL's at all either.

I know you drive a lot in manual mode. What RPM's on average do you shift at?

Do you do mostly highway or city driving?

I do mostly highway driving and am getting 330-360 per tank and I shift at about 3k on average. I dont drive the car easy at all either.

I usually shift at around 3500 rpms....sometimes will take it higher...but I normally go straight into 4th or 5th gear and just leave it. majority of my driving is typically on 121 and alittle bit of city driving...I only work 15-20 mins from the apartment..but I almost have to fill up every week or alittle more than a week.

Maybe try keeping it in drive for an entire tank and see if that helps.

It could be your driving style doing it..

I got bad mileage when I drove the car really easy and put it into a lower gear too soon causing the motor to bog down.
