Quote: I dont have a problem at all about the gas price/mileage..I was just curious if maybe I had a problem with my Fuel Sending unit..since that is what I was expecting the responses to be...I am going to have it tested to really see if that is the issue..if its is then I should be able to see the right kind of mileage reflected versus having to fill up my car every single week....

Considering you have all those mods, im guessing you dont really feather the pedal....

Our car will drink gas if you drive not so easy..But if you drive like a grandma, you should get good gas mileage.

I got 28mpg when i went for a 6hr drive to florida. I usually get 19-21mpg when i drive in street. This is 05 6mt btw.

^ Nope..

I drive like a grandma and I'm getting 15-16mpg avg. 60/40 city/hwy.

When I 1st got the car, I got 19mpg avg. (According to the navi).
As of now, I have about 10k on my car. I'm getting 15-16mpg according to the navi.

I really don't care and don't really think much about it. I just learn to accept the fact that the car isn't going to get any better mpg wise. I shift at 2-3.5k, never smash on the gas, just casual driving.

ok guys heres my input..

i have a 03 g35 coupe. with injen intake and a nismo front

now originally i was getting rougly about 220 a tank with my 19 volk te37's.

ive changed out my intake filter to a k&n filter along with stock 17's with thicker tires.. and did a 60k tune up..

this boosted my gas miles from 220 to about 310 with the usual spirited driving.

i would suggest to do this, as i saw a big improvement.

the key i think really is the tires.. with proper inflated tires and the right size, you should get a good amount of miles..

however i do miss my staggered te37's.. its now sittin in the garage with new tires.. lol

my g wont fill up any farther than 11 gallons, i fill up every 190 miles and its kinda annoying. what can i check. also my gas gauge doesnt work, could a sensor be messed up in the tank? plus my car i lowered about 3 inches all around could that be an issues for mileage as well?

try turning the gas pump almost upside down when filling up and see if that helps. Some gas stations trigger my sensor and won't let me fill up(not very usual though). Your car being lowered does nothing to mpg.

Your sensor is broken then.

I am kind of glad I am not the only one. I get no more than 160 on my 05' 5AT and I don't really drive like a maniac. When I tell other people they say this is normal, when I know it is not.

There is a TSB with our cars with the gas tank when it won't fill up past half way. It's a problem with an air bubble. There's a flaw in the tank design. Mine has done it 3 or 4 times. I turn the nozzle sideways and pull out most of the way and pump slow. Works every time. If your car is under 70k miles, the dealer might replace your tank for free (redesigned)
