But if I let the car warm up for about 2-3 minutes, the rev drops to the normal range and most times when changing gears it doesn't make the click sound. Also the next drive after the first start up and drive it doesn't make the click sound, but not every time.

I don't know what it is and I told Nissan (JDM version of course) to have a look and they couldn't find out what it is and suggested I leave the car overnight for them test it out on the first start up. If anyone has had the problem and diagnosed it before, please help. The click sound is so frustrating and annoying.
The rear CV joints are a known problem on early 350Z, and 350GT and the G35, they will click at low speed gear changes and reversing etc, but there will no be any signs of play in the CV joint, you can safely leave them for quite a while before any play will show,
However the noise gets annoying, simple job the change.

I brought my 2005 G35x to my mechanic and he says it's the rear differential locking up not letting the rear tires spin at different speeds so the car clunks, pops, jumps and lurches when turning at low speeds and at full lock. I went to a big parking lot and drove the car in circles at more than 25kmh at full lock and it clunked and jumped quite a bit going left and right... It's like driving a drag car in circles it'll jump and clunk if the rear's are fully locked up.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, will I need a whole new diff, to have it rebuilt (clutches and so on) or have it reprogrammed?
