Without a doubt, the repairs are going to be more than $5K. Not sure if it will be enough to total it though... It probably depends on if the frame is bent and if so, how severely. There would probably have to be at least $15-17K worth of repairs for them to deem it a total loss.

Ouch that looked pretty bad! hope they catch they guy! i dunno i would think it might be totalled just due to the fact that its going to be a lot of suspension work. and who knows if it will turn out ok even if they do repair it. thats just my opinion tho.

I'm glad the G took care of you and your GF. Lives obviously aren't as easy to replace as a car. As for damages...looks like you are going to be running into the 8-10K area. My wife's MDX was rear ended not too long ago, smashing the bumper, tailgate, both exhausts, popped out the replacement tire somewhere, and torquing the chassis inward and the repair = 8K. Hope they find the guy so he can pay the damages through his teeth. GL

OUCH! G35's are the one of the most expensive cars to repair with front end damage. Good luck and I'm glad everyone is ok.

Damn that cost around 4500 starting? Then mine must be twice as much as that..if not more..I haven't got any response yet if they found the guy. The car might be stolen from what the police said. The car had Indiana plates which makes it even worse and harder to find the guy. Ugh..

i'm gonna say 100% totalled

unless you have one of those rare insurance companies that will rebuild just about anything

personally...if that were my car...i'd want it to be written off

Well I'm waiting for the tow truck to pick up my car so I can get the car to the shop for an estimate if it is fixable. I was told if its 70% or more than the car value, it is considered totalled. I'll give the update to you guys again once I find out everything.
