1st supercharged 1/4 mile times
Re: 1st supercharged 1/4 mile times
I know this sounds Wierd, but If your tires were brand new, you could still have had some of the release agent all new tires have on them. Some Tire brands, more than others. The Tire tech that sold me my Bridgestone S0-3's told me to take it easy for a few days until the slippery release agent wore off............................................... ..................................
Also you had TOO much Air in your Rears. I've been to the Strip about 5 or 6 times with my G35 w/ Brigdestone S0-3's(275/35/19 Rears) and I got severe wheel hop. A buddy of mine that goes to the strip all the time told me to let the air pressure down to about 18psi. Well I let them down to 20psi. IT WORKED!!! and the wheel hop Stopped. Plus I could get more traction off the line. My best time so far with all the bolt on mods listed below is: 13.861 @101.38mph / 60'@2.126 (before the U.R.Crank Pully) & that's with a Quick traffic light type start at 1,800 to 2,000 Rpm after a short burn-out & Warming the tires (not in the water-box). Otherwise it would sit there & spin...Next time, warming them up & then lowering the air pressure in your rear S0-3's if you don't get drag Slicks or radials, I think you'll be surprised...

Re: 1st supercharged 1/4 mile times
How much is Procharge with install, how much is Greddy TT with install?
Rugratcoupe 13.9 w/o FI is excellent. I don't see why M3 pulls on G35 as hard as they are?
I see people say they can hang or barely beat 540i here and then people on bimmerforum say they walk on g35c with a 540i. Conflicting stories make my car buying a differcult decision. =(

Wow 20 psi??? I was at 30... I will try this next time. Can this hurt my car and or rims? I am getting very bad wheel hop too. When I got my 19 S03's the wheel hop started.. Thanks for the suggestion.. I hope to be in the 12's....with practice..

How come you are only getting 5psi ? The ATI is rate at 7psi .I think going with a smaller wheel for the drag radials would be better .Im going with my stock 17's to put the BFGoodrich drag radials on
Couldnt afford it when young...gonna play when Im old

nI don't think he is. Those numbers ar NOT possible at only 5 psi on a supercharger... Look at the PSI graph - it goes up to around 8psi

Re: 1st supercharged 1/4 mile times
the chart doesn't lie I guess. I must be running at 8psi.. But my times are correct

Re: 1st supercharged 1/4 mile times
The stock set up from ATI is 7 psi.
I have taken my stocks down to 18 psi at the track (just remember to bring a pump so that you can re-inflate there as well).
