the day has finally come....my G35 has been ordered this afternoon from ray catena in edison, nj. and as my friend puts it - this will be the longest 2 weeks of my life. i can't wait any longer, i need it now hehe. does anyone have any tint place recommendations in the area? and maybe some price ranges too. still waiting for 4080's box to be finished then i'll be gettin that in there asap.

well, just wanted to let everyone know that i'll finally be joining the g family...i'll be around much more often now hopefully.

if u dont mind me asking, what options did u get and what was the out the door price?

 

just the premium package... no navi aero or perf (all the good stuff) and i think the price was something like 35, dont remember the exact figure.

catena started out as a used car dealer. now on rt 1 i edison, he has infiniti, porsche, aston martin, mercedes (huge), and i think one other. elsewhere he has a lexus.

when i was shopping for my G35, some guy at Ray Catena wouldn't leave me alone. i found a cheaper price and he kept calling me asking if i wanted to buy from there or come in to take a look at the car he had. i wanted black 6mt no spoiler NEW, and he had a black 6mt with spoiler and about 70+ miles on it because the sales manager took it home. umm yea, maybe he was desperate?

we went to catena last month to get a price and it was decent, so yesterday we went to place out in long branch on rt 36 i think it was to get some bargaining power with catena - seemed to work out pretty nicely.

june 12th is so far away, i'm not even looking forward to my birthday on june 10th anymore..i just want the g and nothing else.

I'm also picking up my car at Ray Catena, but I'll be there June 10th...lol actually the car is supposed to arrive the 4th but the gentelmen purchasing my car can't won't be arriving here with his certified check until the 10th so I'll be waiting until then...I got Premium, Aero, Splash Guards, and Trunk Mat for 34k even plus sales tax of course...What color did you get? i got premium, splash, trunk mats for 33k i believe then all the stupid taxes. it's gonna be black on black, whats yours? what was the name of your salesguy? mine was jack fox i think.

also i forgot, the dealer said the 05 will have 300hp but didnt really mention any other changes. but he sounded pretty certain that the hp will definitely be higher.

 

I used Martha Martinez the internet sales specialist....Mine will be a 6mt Ivory Pearl/Graphite...I was between this and your black on black...Good luck with the car...Is the 33k with Aero or no, cuz if it is I need to start haggling my price down..lol keep in touch

 

nope no aero, i never liked the look of the spoiler on the back. where are you from since you're getting it in edison? also let me know if you know of any good tint shops in the area. my friend referred me to a place called "tropic tint" not quite sure where in jersey it is but supposedly they do fantastic work and carries with it a $200 price tag...i was looking for something closer to 100.
