is this normal? (already searched)
whenever i start my car and start driving at approx. 2000rpms i hear the noise that the vdc makes when it kicks in. regardless if its cold or hot it always happens. but if my car is already on and from a stop it wont do it. only after i start it up. the slip light never comes on and i dont lose any power. it just makes the noise. is this normal? i dont think it did this when i first bought it. i could of been just too excited when i got the car to care about any stupid little noises. and its always at 2000rpms. never a little higher and never a little lower. any suggestions? i already tried searching and couldnt find anything.
i cant tell if its the abs or the vdc. they both sound kinda similiar but its weird because i can be going as slow as possible in a straight line and it will still do it. only when accelerating, not slipping tires or anything. dry weather and all...
Yes, that is normal. That sound is the ABS system performing a self-check. That is why it will only do it after you start the car. If you read the owners manual, it will actually tell you that it will do this.
