E Brake question

Hey guys,

when I bought my car, I notice that the leather around the e-brake was all torn up and scratched. Do you guys know if I can just buy another leather piece and put it on or have to replace the whole thing?? It doesn't look that easy to take off.
attached is the pictures. Please let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

Wow it looks like someone was really hungry.
I had to adjust my E Brake height and it was a bitch to take off the middle console.

I know huh??!! I was like WTF how in the WORLD did someone do that? I thought it might be because he got pissed and was in a rush to put on his seat belt? but then its the top, side and bottom scratched up....

also would the E-brake be different on an AT compared to an MT?
